How to Add a Sighting

  1. Take a photo of green infrastructure (one feature per photo works best)
  2. AI classifies it — plant type, infrastructure, condition, and training style
  3. Location auto-set from photo GPS, or place manually on the map
  4. Submit — you can edit the AI classification if needed

What Gets Recorded

  • Plant type: Tree, Shrub, Hedge, Climber, Perennials, Grass, etc.
  • Infrastructure: Tree pit, Planter, Green wall, Rain garden, etc.
  • Condition: Poor, OK, or Good
  • Training: Natural, Pollarded, Pleached, Coppiced, Espalier
